Indigenous Programming

Did you know that smudging is allowed in our community hall? We have several groups that use our space for various Indigenous programs. We welcome indigenous programming and celebrations and strive towards building a bridge to Truth and Reconciliation. Here is a list of a few of the groups that spend time at the community hall. We are grateful to work with Elizabeth Fry/Sage Program, Alpha House, Hollow Bone Healing Lodge.

We are located on traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyethka Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nation. The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Respectfully, we acknowledge that we share the land as people of Treaty 7.
